Does anyone watch the Mythbustter on the discovery channel. I think it is the coolest show.
Never watched it, but I've heard of it. Many friends talk about it a lot. I've heard of a few myths that have been 'busted'.
Seen it a few times

Great show, watch it when I can.
One of my favorite shows, Adam Savage has to be one of my role models but I am not sure that a good thing
Narf!!!!!!!
"It probably isn't a good thing, but what the heck..." not only summarizes the idea of Adam as a role model, but also his overall philosophy on some of the crazy, i.e. "less than wise", things he does on the show.Originally Posted by ArcticSonata

bettkicker, I like both aspects of the show too. First, it is fascinating watching them try to bust a myth, and then afterwards go that next step into the absurd - which usually does involve blowing up something.
They are usually pretty good about their science but I do disagree with one of their conclusions. In one show, they "busted" the myth of Benjamin Franklin discovering electricity by flying a kite on the premise that he would have been fried by the shock.
That is a bunch of hooey because there are lots of people who survive lightning strikes. Why couldn't Franklin survive such a shock as well? Well, Adam and Jamie weren't working on that myth, so we can chalk up that mistake to the inexperience of the B team.

I used to watch it when it began, but I just lost interest. Don't get me wrong, I've seen it recently and it's a good show, but it just isn't what I want to see anymore.

I watched the one where they test if you can die by shooting a bullet strait up.
I like it but rarely see it because of my total lack of free time.. grr
Especially the explosions etc![]()
and anyone seen the show in which the more weird of the two was testing locks? he crashed himself on the door but the silly 'chain-lock' kept it closed lol

I rather enjoy watching it.
Jamie: "I actually rather enjoy seeing Adam in pain."
Adam has just had a coin shot into the palm of his hand at terminal velocity.
