My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

Well I'm from Kansas, but I've lived most my life in Texas, so I think I count as a 'Texan'.

    Texas issues...hmm...

San Antonio Spurs or Dallas Mavaricks? Both Texas teams. Who you want to win?

You are both wrong, Dundee is God's own land, but he neglects it...

I always thought Texas was a DIY and Garden shop taken over by Homebase some time ago... They made nice garden furniture, no wonder it was God's land until the infidel (that is to say, Homebase) took it over...

I don't see how one could live in Texas, though, unless one wanted to eat bird-feeders and compost...

    Edit:
Furthermore, wouldn't a delivery be somewhat difficult in Texas? Surely there isn't the apporopriate equiment? Do they use a large pair of secateurs to cut the cord?

I know my greatest Texan, my girlfriend...

One day I will see Dallas - apparently its really good, though I find it hard to believe it could be better than Cambridge or that Texas itself could be better than Yorkshire. If only the American immigration system wasn't such a turd I might go see the land of the free one day.

If I had to go for a famous greatest Texan, it'd be "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Man that guy was/is cool (is he still around?)

    I'm a Texan! So I'm an auto-member!

LOL. Texas is definently an awesome place, it's big, beautiful, and full of awesome people! I don't understand what Duke Malcom was talking about, or what he said for that matter, but oh well.

Best Texan would have to be Sam Houston, and yes, he was a born and raised Texan.

I'm not the one who makes the rules.. I actually don't know who does/did. But, Drone can be a part of it because he was born in Texas (lying? who knows).

Louis VI... you're French, you have a thread talking about Texas and France. I'll leave your decision to SFTS.

Howabout making Texas an honourary state of Australia.

Our state rights are stronger then those in the USA. Texas would make a nice addition to Australia, Texas would help round out the number of smaller states afterall.
Our genes maybe in the basement but it does not stop us chosing our point of view from the top.

Haha, before we join Australia, if anything we would seceed from the U.S. and become our own country. There's many people who want to do that, after all.
