Got to keep my fav club going:

    Should Texas proclaim it's independence?

It is bigger than France, more populous than Australia. I say we Texans proclaim our independence again and become masters of our own destiny.

My credentials: born well south of the Mason-Dixon Line. Us Southerners already tried that once - seceding from the Union. It didn't work too well the first time around, so I think we ought to think it over for a few centuries before trying again.

I always liked the music TV show Austin City Limits, and I spent a year one weekend, in El Paso years ago (long, confusing story involving booze, hookers, airplanes, shoes and billiards).

    Am I in?

So your plan is to physically push off from Oklahoma, NewMexico, old Mexico, Arkansas & Louisiana... until Texas floats free in the Gulf?

Brilliant. I'll take the part that borders Las Cruses, NM. Let me know when to start pushing. Meanwhile, I'll just drink these handy Miller Genuine Draft Beers that seem to have magically appeared (note: am I gonna hafta switch to Lone Star beer now?).
Be well. Do good. Keep in touch.
