I remember a thread a while back where somebody asked how you became a moderator, and I remember someone saying 'I just acted like one, and eventually they asked me to do it'. I think this is probably the best advice for those who wuold like to become part of the staff. I'm not suggesting you start trying to hand out warning points, but behaving in a mature manner and encouraging others to do the same goes a long way.

I wouldn't like to become a moderator, I like to be naughty sometimes.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

You guys are so afraid of the Backroom. What cowardice! It's actually much less flame-y than many of the boards out there. And if you rule with the proper iron grip and, like a true politician, disregard the aggression of the oppressed, you won't have any real trouble. That is, until they topple you :P

But then comes the moderator who speaks the truth about his history, better said, his 'spam' history.. *Looks at..* :)

Let him not laugh too gladly when the water runs through his fingers, nor stand too silent when the setting sun makes red the veld with fire. That wouldn't do...

We need some opponents left over, Redleg...

Obliteration to all who cross the Moderators " Line of Death!!" makes for a one-sided argument.

Actually I think you'd make a pretty good backroom mod

There are tons of backroomers ahead of you on the "never make backroom mod list" - DevDave, PJ, Capo, JAG, Idaho.....and I think they all know it too

We need to be 50-50 in the Backroom.
Make DevDave, Redleg and Idaho mods, it won't be equal any more...
