Not sure anymore myselve, more of an offence if you ask me if you look at the jailtime they get (if any). Not that I see too much of the 12 year old pregnancy thing because of where I live (the houses are too expensive and no council accomodation nearby) it really is quite strange.

14-15 year old boys claim all the time to get laid...it's usually not too reliable but hey, a lot of them do do it, no doubt. Disturbing? yeah probably since they're very drunk at the time, no control. That's just the way it is with house parties

There is none as far as I know, not one that is actually enforced anyway. Common, every 14/15 year old has sex, it is completily normal, or am I being too dutch?

I 've known quite a few Dutch people who were saving themselves for after marriage, so I don't think there's something like "being too Dutch" on the subject. From what I remember from my teenage years most girls started at 14/15 but most guys only had sex for the first time around 18.

I'm guessing it really depends on the country, the UK is quite famous for its teenage mothers after all...

Depends on the area, I'd imagine. Quite a few. I remember my PSE tutor once asked the class how many of us smoked and only about three out of the thirty five(ish) kids in the room didn't raise their hand. Wasn't a rough school, but it was your typical cheap state arrangement. If that's anything to go on.. quite alot of them. Plus you can buy tobacco from the age of 16+.

I can't believe the girl wasn't taken into care before this, and I can't believe she hasn't been taken into care now. Her mother is quite clearly not equipped to deal with the children she already has, let alone the impending grandchild.

The comment about the smoking not affecting her pregnancy makes me want to smack her, but I suppose she is just an 11 year old-which is the point really, isn't it?
