It is a lie. You're not saying it, you're typing it.

It was not theirs to make reply,
It was theirs but to do or die.

An old one, but it has been proven not to be a true paradox because of modern semantics and philosophy of language. I cant be bothered to show how it is not a paradox though.Originally Posted by Lemur

Not exactly. Lack of proof doesn't refute your own statement nor confirms the statement on the other side, the other side should produce its own proof to demonstrate something. However that's not my question.Originally Posted by Lord Godfrey

Liar liar pants on fire.
Not that I can remember, though I may ignore a few if I really need to prove a point for one reason or another, and hope the other person doesn't bring them up. If they do then I'll make sure to adjust my stance accordingly.

I've never lied to prove my points, but only used the truth as argument for my points. That pretty much proves all of my points
Actually, in politics I alter my opinion if my arguments don't hold, rather than altering the arguments. I see no reason to defend a point that is underbuilt by lies. Usually we hold our opinions because we either have solid argumentation of believe we can bring out solid argumentation if we only think for a long enough time. But if we can't bring out that argumentation even when we give it enough time, then we may start doubting the validity of our points. Sometimes you have this gut feeling you're right even in such cases, but usually that means you'll find the argument you sought for if you just keep looking for long enough, or maybe it means your argument is tabooed or similar so you don't dare to say it, etc. But if you can't honestly to yourself say that your argumentation is based on truth only after being given enough time to think, changing opinion is the only sensible thing.
However in social level problems it's a bit more difficult, and less critical, to hold the right opinion. So in those cases, I'm ALWAYS right![]()

Yes it makes sense but it's all messed up. The problems that I usually see on this board with spanish is verbal times. Your sentence should be like this: Mi gramatica es mala? Trataré de lograrlo mejor(I suppose you wanted to say that you'll try to do better). Leeo carnicero este (this seriously makes no senseOriginally Posted by Strike For The South
, the first word appears to be "lee" (infinitive "to read") or "leo" (simple present of "read"), the second word means "butcher" and the third word is an indicative of an object that's proxime to you ("this"), so I don't really know what you wanted to say with this
).
Wow no of that might make sense lo siento (in spanish: por ahí (or "tal vez") nada de eso tiene sentido lo siento).

But if a debate get's really heated I will not shy away from rhetorical exagerations or omissions (of the 'oops, that was a bit sloppy of me' kind).
And if they don't get heated enough, I might post opinions that are a bit more single-sided than the complexity of an issue calls for.
Hey!
Soulforged ignoring something during a debate is merely good tactics. If you're in a Model UN or something like that it is essential at times, and so long as you don't cause any harm by it (aka doing it in a real-life situation where something bad will actually come of it) it is completely harmless.

Ok, so I didn't know how to put this on thread's title so I just wrote "lied".
