    Battenburg, Philip's name was Battenburg but was changed to Mountbatten.
    Louis Alexander Mountbatten, 1st Marquess of Milford Haven changed the family surname from Battenberg to Mountbatten in 1917 to distance himself from the enemy. Obviously this was before Philip was born, but his family surname was Battenberg.
