It's the end of the world!
Or at least, it might be. The date strikes 6/6/06 tomorrow. I personally am unsure, but i am hoping the world does end, as then i'll have an excuse as to why i'm not handing in my Math's GCSE coursework.
So, what do you think? End of the world tomorrow, or just another day? also, what are you doing for tomorrow? Any special events? Me and a bunch of friends are having a 666 party to celebrate this special event, which will never ever ever ever happen again in human history. I think.

By the way, didn't this already happen on 6 june 1006? And won't it happen again on 6 june 3006? (if that date will ever come to pass) And what about the year 666? Or the year 1666? And 2666?

Anyhow, your second point. Big Rainstorms happen quite a lot. The Hurricanes in America are kind of like rainstorms. Firestorms: explosions in Iraq? Plenty of fire to go 'round there. Famines have been in Africa for a very long time now, not to mention many other rural areas in the world, such as the countryside in China or India. Wars? Iraq and Afghanistan, the East Timor stuff, and now maybe even Iran.

Depends on how you count. Jesus was born in 4 BC, so this 6/6/6 hapened already, along with the year 666, that must have been an unlucky year,. Also if the world came to end it would prove God's existence and that can't be bad.
I wonder though, the clerics I have heard who speak about the end of the world say that the antichrist is going to be the next pope, or maybe the one after the next. And when the antichrist arives then it should be fun to watch. I don't believe in any of it, but it is still itneresting to see if the prophesy comes true.

As far as I can see, 666 was a wholly unremarkable year.along with the year 666, that must have been an unlucky year,
Anyhow, can't be bothered now. If the world ends tomorrow, we'll be hearing it for weeks on the news anyway.

Thats not exactly true. Pope Gregory stated that the next pope would start the end of the world, he never said that he would be the antichrist.

I think this is just a joke, shouldn't believe in numbers. If 666 represent all that is evil and is Satan's number, wouldn't the year 7/7/7 be the best year as 777 represent all that is good and is "God's" number. Even then, the Chinese believe that the number 888 (spoken in Chinese it sounds like "good fortune") is a lucky number and so maybe the year 8/8/8 will be good for us too? In Chinese, the number 444 is considered bad luck ( i think). There you can see that numeraulogy (however you spell it) is just a bunch of make up stuff. The bible uses these numbers as representative or metaphors. Just like the number 144,000 in the book of Revelation which represent the number from all the tribes of Israel is actually used to represent the whole population/multitudes of the Christian believers. The Book of Revelation contains many number that should not be taken literally and also metaphors that should not be taken literally, you wouldn't want to eat a book like what John did in the Book of Revelation, do you?
