I think the confusion has arisen in whether you mean the Latin alphabet or the font Times New Roman ala Microsoft Word. For example: Copperplate script, Gothic script or Celtic script (which are both extremely beautiful) are fonts of the Latin alphabet, but aren't Times New Roman.Originally Posted by The Stranger
As such, I've voted other because I think Copperplate (flows beautifully), Gothic (can be very elaborate) and Celtic (looks extraoridarily serene - Welsh written in this style looks fab) styled writing are all equally lovely.
IMO Arabic looks ugly and incomprehensible: it's just horizontal lines with swiggles and dots. The same goes for pictographic alphabets, they're all utterly incomprehensible; Oriental ones look like random lines... I probably only think they're ugly because I can't read them though.
