...what would you use for a custom avatar? I'd use this:

I made it myself! Isn't it bizarre and wonderful?

I suppose this is the reason why the .Org does not have custom avatars.

I would propably have a picture of the TARDIS.

yeah there was a thread in the watchtower saying why they didnt use custom avatars. id say if custom avatars were war related id choose that cause the site is called TOTALWAR.ORG.
but id choose this (guess before you click show its pretty obvious):
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    or this

now after looking, which one should i have choose?

Ummmm the Org does allow custom avatars. You just have to clear them through the staff, and possibly fellow-forum goers as well. I have one at the moment. If you want to be able to see it you have to go to the User CP and turn on Url avatars. I don't exactly remember how you get a new avatar into the system for public or private use, but I'm sure the mods can fill you in on that either here or in the watchtower.

You have to go into the user Cp as I said and I believe must activate Url avatars. I'm not sure exactly where the box is but after some searching you'll find it. If you look into my user-profile you may also be able to see it somewhere in there.

[Also to add, uncheck 'avatars' first and it appears to work fine -
    excepting UltraWar here.]

The Total War avatars are what make the org unique.

Good luck finding Sigurd's avatar among those available.
We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

Was aware of it being custom, yes.

    A black/white/transparent screen..
"Cry, the beloved country, for the unborn child that is the inheritor of our fear. Let him not love the earth too deeply. Let him not laugh too gladly when the water runs through his fingers, nor stand too silent when the setting sun makes red the veld with fire. Let him not be moved when the birds of his land are singing, nor give too much of his heart to a mountain or a valley. For fear will rob him of all if he gives too much."
