The script file isnt good, ive made a new one...also the export_descr_advice files inst good...so when i get a good file i´ll start the game.

Alright, listen up. I am guessing that my script only worked because I used the proper export_descr_advice.txt file. You might be using a wrong version. UltraWar, PLEASE check your email.

Yep, its the export_descr_advice.txt that causes my RTW to crash, when i use another RTW exporti_descr_advice.txt it runs perfectly...please send me your export_descr_advice.txt silverrusher or glaucus and ill get the game going in no time.

I haven't had time to make completely sure that this works, but it should. In this script, you have to double click on a settlement and then click the ? button for it to work.

It Works Muahahahhaha! I had so many files missing...arf..., many thks to Silverrusher and GeneralSun (his own forum was very helpfull), I´ve sent the quicksave to Luigiman, by later then today i´ll be sending it to General Sun.

Err crash at game startup? I know I installed everything correctly. Just like I did for my other campaign.

I have the new advice file from silver... Got the all factions from Rick... Got the hotseat file from Spain... What else do i bloody need?

Edit: WTF is going wrong.... I've isolated the crash to the advice file, even silver's version didn't work. So I used mine from my other campaign. That's all dandy, So I boot up the game, go in play my turn, hit end turn, and it saves. But the thing doesn't bloody stop! It just keeps going and going and going... IT cycles through everyone's turns (which I don't get to see btw), and loops infinitly for all I know. Now the damn thing was saved before it went through everyone's turns but I can't promise you that this isn't a messed up version. I'll send it, but likely it's to be very wrong. I've never experienced thsi before. Anybody else?

OMG...but i tested it...i went trough every factions turns and it was running smoth....Sun and Ultra, question do you guys get to check what i posted for the unblocable factions for 1.5 RTW vanilla? maybe it bugs the scrip if all players dont have the same descr_srtat.txt and campaign_srtat.txt

I´ve tried the quicksave general sun sent and its macedons turn, after its egypt..its working fine..i see no problem...i sugest Sun you play your turn again and download the files i posted in the link please...

It should go smoth then Ultra, pls test the save sun posted and check if it works for you to....

I have just made a discovery. This may have been discovered a long time ago, but I have just found out that it is possible to change preferences.txt so that you can edit settlement names in-game on RTW patch 1.5. The advantages of this are:

-If Motion 6.10 gets passed, Bononia can be renamed Verginia in-game
-It works on savegames that were saved before the preferences file was changed
-The savegame will still work if the recipient of it has not changed the preferences file AND the settlement will still be renamed.

TinCow, all you need to do is:
1. Go to Activision/Rome - Total War/Preferences/Preferences.txt
2. Use Ctrl+F to find this line: EDIT_SETTLEMENT_NAMES
3. Change it from FALSE to TRUE
4. Save
5. Open up the campaign, double click on Bononia and then double click on the settlement name. You will now be able to edit the name, click the tick when done

econ21, sorry to keep bothering you, but please remove the note from motion 6.10. Plus, I seconded motions 6.6 and 6.7 in my first in-character post, it seems to be important as both these motions have 1 seconder each.

should we allow this? It could add variety to the game...
