I do believe that thou has been taking thy Earl Grey incorrectly. It is only proper to take the aforementioned beverage with a citrus fruit, usually lemon.

As the television advertisements say, drinking iced tea gives one a foot fetish and hence I refrain from drinking it.

I like Ceylon in the morning -- that refreshing taste is just the thing to have for Elevenses, with a splash of milk

Darjeeling, Assam, or Ceylon for afternoon tea, taken with nothing, milk and one sugar, and milk respectively.

Assam for the evening, the full bodied flavour sets me down for the night, with milk and sugar.

I sometimes have Chai tea in winter, those spices are quite something.

Where's the option for both, SftS?

Iced tea when it's going to be 101F (that's 38.6C for you Brits) outside, like umm... today.

But in the morning and afternoons and, well... ok, all the time. Hot green tea with mango, lime and a little dollop of honey. Jasmine with lime and a little honey is good as well.

We understand and prefer fahrenheit, yards, inches, gallons, pints, etc thank-you very much.

We have never got the hang of metrics, although it did make the monetary system easier.

You speak for yourself. Metric all the way here (except for road distance...out of necessity).

    I was just teasing! Pfft.

Gods, not the metric system. I was in primary school when the U.S. first began making a big push to get us switched over. Liters this, meters that, etc. It never took. That was 40 years ago. It still hasn't caught on. I don't think it ever will, here.

I grew up as an American kid overseas - so I learned both systems side-by-side, and am equally comfortable with either. For most average (non-technical/scientific) folks, I really don't think either system is "better" than the other. People are just most comfortable with what they learned growing up.

With easier money came a worsening grasp of Maths: take away the incentive of knowing how many groats in a florin and suddenly Maths has no point for loads of people.

Imperial certainly has its uses, but this weekend I had to work out how many tiles I needed for my bathroom and I was very happy to be working in square metres thank you very much.

OT, iced tea is rampantly metrosexual. Oh, and BTW all these fancy teas are not tea either. If you can't imagine it being brewed by a sapper on the north west frontier* than its not tea.

(I'll make an exception for chinese tea since a billion people can't be wrong).

Never acquired the taste for hot tea (or really any hot beverage). Don't drink iced tea that much either, it's only good if it's early in the day, and you are sitting in a restaurant in the south with a hangover. Sweet brewed iced tea is just the thing. Unsweetened iced tea is somewhat pointless.

I prefer Iced tea over any other tea. Particularly lemonade iced tea. Not just tea is for me or any other tea but plain iced tea. Down here in texas we drink lots of iced tea.

Yes, I do take it with lemon on occasion, but I love my sugar.
