    Default Shaving

    For the first time in a long while, i went out clean shaven with my friends last night, after having a tash and beard for around two maybe three years.

    Ive always kept it trimmed down with an Electric shaver, but ive always found that it really pulverizes your skin, so i decided to go for a nice wet razor shave, and boy did i benefit from those results. Not only did the girls in my group love it, i managed to get it on so to speak, with a lovely young french girl. Oh la la!

    So anyway, what do the fellow chaps at the .org go for? I like a beard, i think it makes me look a lot older, but those ladies really go for the smooth, clean cut look.

    What do we think...to beard or not to beard?

    Shaving is a special occasion around here. Maybe once every few weeks or months. Maybe. Even then, it's only a trim and the chin area stays.

    I use razors and shave 2 or 3 times per week. I suppose I could try growing a beard but I expect it would look like ****.

    Haven't shaved in a while, simply because I can't be ****. Hopefully if I leave it long enough it will look half decent. For the time being it's just a fuzzy mess.

    I guess I had better start shaving relatively soon, as I have quite a bit of what is called bumfluff (has nothing to do with hair down there). I just heard that once you start shaving, the hair grows thicker so you have to shave more often....I'm just lazy. It's a good job that I have fair hair, if not I really would need to shave.

    I have a beard like of that Wolverine guy of the X-Men. I did not go that far to shape it with some hair gel but I think I'll try that some time.

    Razor with a basin of water. Always wet my face first. Always shave every 2-3 days.

    I voted Gah! I have grown a great big before but that was because no time to shave for about three months, and I kept it for an extra 2. I use a tap (for water) and a straightblade. It hurt a lot to learn when I was young, but other stuff hurts more and as soon as I became good, nothing was cleaner.

    I've had a beard now for about 24 years but I use a razor and plain old water to clean up around the edges. A sissors is the weapon of choice to keep the beard under control. I do the edging every 3-5 days and beard pruning every 3-4 weeks.

    Stopped when I ran out of blades, as is usually the case for a few weeks or so
    here and there. Will probably sort it out soon enough, especially as someone
    likes to constantly point out how it supposedly happens to grow ginger. [Lies.]

    Razor and daily use.

    Quckly looks unshaved otherwise.
    We are all aware that the senses can be deceived, the eyes fooled. But how can we be sure our senses are not being deceived at any particular time, or even all the time? Might I just be a brain in a tank somewhere, tricked all my life into believing in the events of this world by some insane computer? And does my life gain or lose meaning based on my reaction to such solipsism?

    If you need to trim it anyway and spend time on it, why have a beard?

    Two to three times a week with a razor in the shower to really soften up my cast-iron bristles. I used to shave less when I could but I must admit to a vain abhorrence of the rapidly increasing amount of grey hair! Damn ageing! I don't mind the grey in my hair but a grey beard is too much.

    My beard must be older than most furumites - it was started in 1969, and has been with me continuously ever since!

    I use the same maintainance method as Gregoshi, except for the use of some shaving get to go along with the water...sensitive skin with a tough beard needs all the help it can get.

    I like my beard, thank you. But there are some patchy spots, so I usually just shave them with a razor and cold water. I would use a straight razor, too (since none of the spots are on my neck) but I don't know where to find them.

    Girls have the worst tastes. Besides, despite what any of them might think, I need my beard. Not that it makes me look much older, but it makes me look more like... well... me. I don't look right without a moustache and beard anymore.

    I've almost always used a razor, I tried an electric for a couple of months but I found it just wouldn't take the hair off, I have a very thick beard. If I leave it more than two days it becomes a pain to scrape it off again.

    Screw that! Go beard. I haven't shaved since I got permission to grow a beard while in the US Navy. That was 27 years ago. I keep it trimmed; but I don't even shave my throat. Now it's all grey and it scares little kids and small animals.

    If the ladies say they prefer the look and feel of smooth cheeks, simply reply that you prefer the look and feel of shaved pudenda and offer to share a razor. See what happens. Double standard? Nah.
