I think we should keep the game open for more players to join even once we've started. I mean, if someone turns up and wants to play a minor faction, they should be allowed to join mid-game. That way we can have more players involved, which is more fun.

Oh and how fast will time advance in the game?

Don't worry, that's exactly what's going to happen. Wouldn't be very fun if the English had to play against a mod when trying to invade Scotland, would it?

I was thinking about 1 day = 1 month in game, but I will make a poll on that one. Maybe 1 day = 2 months. That way we can have maybe 6 days of playing each week for 1 year, and then use the last day to create an overview and have a big discussion about the previous 'year'.

Erm, about Croatia. Wikipedia claims that they were conquered by Kalman (Coloman), King of Hungary in 1097, although he wasn't crowned as the king of Croatia untill 1102. I can't verify if these years are correct, but if they are, letting SSNeoperestroika play Croatia could be kinda strange.

Maybe SSNeoperestroika could play as the Fatimids in that case.

EDIT: Or, even better, you could play as Serbia or another Balkan faction.
