Did anyone else notice a thread in which solypsist claimed to be in Leb/Is and posted pics he had supposedly taken has now been removed?

In said thread, Eclectic revealed that one of those pics had been widely distributed in the msm already, casting more than a little doubt on the authenticity of solypsist's claims.

Anyway, examining the title of your thread, it seems you have already formed a conclusion, rather than actually being interested in finding out what really happened...waiting for a response from solypsist...

I did not make any conclusions, I only suggested that one of two options were possible. I erred in following to include a third option.

I am sure we can all determine what these three options are without me verbalizing them here.

edit: Btw, the close-up picture of the youngest toddler was in Newsweek, in the most recent issue. IIRC, the photogrpaher is properly credited.

Furthemore, I do not recall if Solypisist has stated the photos were his or what. Also, IIRC Soly stated that he was on his own and acting independently for contract.

One last note. I was watching Anderson Cooper's "Inside Hizbullah" last night and the city scenes that were shown back here look very much like the bombed out southern Beirut neighborhoods that Cooper was in. Alternatively, the roadway scenes are clearly much further outside of the capital.

I am certainly not going to make an accusation because I know nothing of the truth here. I am merely makign observations and nothing more. I'm sure that we all look forward to the logical explanation that Solypsist will provide. I'm sure their is a legitimate reason for the thread removal, such as copyright concerns or something else.

the thread i started in the watchtower was simply a request: i want to know why soly's thread was deleted. and i make no claims about the content of the missing thread or possible reasons for it disappearing.

speculation is stupid, at this point, and threads like this one should be locked.

I dont think many are speculating what you imply Big John. However, rather than lock this thread it should simply be combined with the one in the watchtower. But, I agree, this topic should be in the watchtower and not here.

i know that. i meant speculation about why soly's thread was removed is pointless and needn't be here in the backroom. accusations, however, are another matter.. and posts/threads with direct or weakly-veiled accusations about soly should be deleted/locked, imo. sorry, i wasn't clear on that in my previous post.

I come in, laugh at it all. For the End of the World is Nigh, and I don't care. Oh, and I know nothing, which makes it all even more ludicrous. That solution might come and the World As We Know It might not end really doesn't matter to me either; but drama is drama, and I like watching drama.

Such truth, that I am irrelevant, makes this process individually satisfying but irrelevant all the same.

When oh when is Nassar Nassar going to come in and explain why he was trying to pass off someone else's pictures as his own?

Maybe hes struggling for survival in Lebanon, or Iraq, or some other made up adventure...
