Senior Member is an honorific, used to recognize members' contributions to the overall good of the Org.

Contributions can range from creative endeavours (such as mods, art, guides and stories) to leadership and commitment (organization of community efforts, running events) to being a fine, honourable, upstanding member of the community. It is a way to recognize and say "thank you" to those who make the TW community a better place. Post count doesn't matter much: there are Senior Member's with less than 400 posts, and Members with thousands.

Two or three times a year, the Staff nominates Members who they feel are deserving of the Senior Member title. Only 10-12 Senior Memberships are approved; if more are nominated, that list is whittled down to the required number.

Senior members get a slightly larger PM mailbox, a title under their avatar, free beer at KukriKhan's house (although apparently none have so far shown up!), and the publicly displayed respect of the community.
From what I know, a Senior Member's inbox size is 75.

    Wouldn't mind it sometimes...

It gives me an incentive though. If I contribute enough, I get the bigger inbox.

The benefit of being senior member is very, very simple.

Wow Redleg that was funny.. xD!!!
"Cry, the beloved country, for the unborn child that is the inheritor of our fear. Let him not love the earth too deeply. Let him not laugh too gladly when the water runs through his fingers, nor stand too silent when the setting sun makes red the veld with fire. Let him not be moved when the birds of his land are singing, nor give too much of his heart to a mountain or a valley. For fear will rob him of all if he gives too much."

Don't know if that was meant to be sarcastic x-dANGEr -as I have no idea what that smiley means - , but try to keep any personal feuds to a particular thread or pm. Again, sarcasm is kind of hard to detect on the net, as you know, so I could be way off the mark in my assumption.

Of course there are downsides to senior membership as well. As the saying goes, 'With great power comes great responsibility.' The .org has high expectations for its senior members, including keeping confidential information from the uninitiated. I'm afraid some of the less discreet posters in this thread may soon be visited by KukriKhan's top secret .org assassination team, 'The Crazy 89.'

(And some people wonder why we suddenly stop hearing from regularly involved members, or why the modding team hides their faces from public view)

p.s. In the event I am never heard from again, I must have said too much just now. I leave my computer to Ichi, if he can be found, and my beloved copy of M:TW to Martok. All other possessions may be divided evenly amongst the community.

    Just type in lines.

Then put the last spoiler to be revealed around the last line.

Then the second to last spoiler around the last spoiler and the second to last line.

    So:

    "FIRST SPOIL"Just type in lines.

"SECOND TO LAST SPOIL"Then put the last spoiler around the last line.

"LAST SPOIL"Then the second to last spoiler around the last spoiler and the second to last line. "/LAST SPOIL" "/SECOND TO LAST SPOIL" "/FIRST SPOIL"
