Well i guess New ENGLAND could be like the British isles....
Maine=Scotland
Conneticut=Wales
Massachusetts=England
New Hampshire=Ireland
Vermont=Northern Ireland......

Pretty sure that's not US. Those beer cans are a dead giveaway. Don't recognize the brands, and that tall-boy style can is fairly rare here.

These things aren't necessarily true (however some have or had some truth to them). The thing is that we see actions of those groups in light of those prejudices and by doing this enforcing those prejudices.
