First EPL manager to be sacked next season? I really think it'll be Sparky. Late October. Followed by Ancelotti in early February.

Read the report on ESPN. Sounds like everything just imploded without warning.

    Dear, oh dear, oh dear.

Bonnie Scotland find their level again!

I'd like to say they broke my heart........but I won't.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

Turkey performed surprisingly well against Ukraine. I like the goals but not the wavering mid-field and the stand-alonish defence though.

Brazil, OTOH, was a total disappointment to me. Boring as hell. The Est team, seemingly having confused football with taek wan do didn't help it either.

Found our level my arse. Which yes, incidentally, is the same kind of opening into which you can shove that kind of talk.

The game was gone once Caldwell was sent off. Burley's selection didn't help, but the game ceased to be a contest from then on. And yes, it was a soft yellow for the second one. The ref clearly didn't realise he was booking Caldwell for the second time until the Norwegian players helpfully reminded him.

We, on the other hand, managed to scrape a shock 0-1 win away at that other Nordic giant, the Faroer.

All is not lost for Scotland. You can still come second in your group, and draw a qualification match against fellow second placed France. We all know how that'll end.

I still have nightmares about James 'McMessi' Fadden.

Considering that we are currently in the business of narrow 1-0 wins against giants like Lithuania and the Faroer, I dread what will happen if we are up against a team of equal quality. Like Scotland.

Even with 6 points, we now have a fairly good chance of statistically being the worst second-placed side, and so excluded from the fun of the play-offs. That's assuming we don't predictably capitulate to the FYRers and respectably roll over for the orange machine.

But yes, France in the play-offs? Easy. etc, etc.

It's not quite that bad, we are on 7 with two home fixtures remaining. Still, we are so poor right now I've pretty much given up hope.

EDIT: Wait, you probably meant 6 point still available... yeah even with them we're still far from safe...

I take heart from how bad the Chavs are!

How did the Aberdeen - Celtic game end up? I gave up watching at 3 - 0.

Chamakh just scored again, I think. Title defence looking good there Louis!

We played very defensive. It kinda worked. Usually we score more, yet get our behind handed over when it comes to counterattacks.
    Wiese did an awesome job!

I am really looking forward to Borowskii/Özil/Marin and Hunt getting used to each others style. That will do to replace Diego, hopefully.

Freaking Chel$ki don´t wanna sell Pizarro to us....come on for god´s sake, we need a goal getter!

Eh, we have enough assist guys. We need Pizarro back to score a decent number of goals, and someone to run into the attack with him. Sanogo and Hunt probably won't do it unless one or both has somehow become amazing. I have a lot of hope for Harnik actually, but he's young and doesn't play much...

Werder signed Pizarro! Finally a proven quantity at striker! Hell now we can throw Sanogo, Harnik, Rosenberg, Almeida or any other schmuck off the street up front and rely on having at least one man there to make clutch goals!

I can now say that we should do well this rebuilding year because we can afford to bring up a younger striker, or use Rosenberg who is off and on at best, and still do well!

Porto's Hulk is the bestest striker around. Pity to all foreign clubs that he costs 40 M € to take him. In one year, Porto will prolly buy 100% of his passport and will renew his contract with an even greater rescission clause. Around 60 M €, or so I hear.

Hello Pizarro! Great he is back. I think Almeida [very good when it comes to distance shots], Morreno [potential yet to be seen] + him [striker] are a good choice for Werder! With Özil, Marin & Hunt [when he comes up to his potential]in their back we might reach a 3.-6. position in the Bundesliga! We will see!

    .
    Euro League Play-offs: Sivas 0 ― Shakhtar Donetsk 3

Honestly, I couldn't recognise the UEFA Cup champion, bane of Werder Bremen besides others, the mighty Shakhtar at all, despite the early first goal, until it was after the half-time. Sivas, the over-hyped third rate mafiosi team, tried their best pressing every inch of the field, running around, organising and by all means struggling. If they had only two competent players able to kick properly they'd have had the match.

In the second half some spell was cast on Shakhtar. Not to mention that the under-conditioned and already incompetent Sivas was tired, demoralised and undisciplined. One goal followed another and the game turned into what it should have been from the very beginning. A close-call offside rendered the what-would-be fourth goal invalid.

    You did it again Mircea!
