    In direct response to the Coffee thread, I'm giving us tea junkies a place to discuss our favourite blends and combinations.

    How to do you like your tea?

    Me, it's very simple.

    -The best Twinings Earl Grey
    -Teaspoon of Sugar
    -Dash of Lemon (tried it on the suggestion of Malcolm, and it's wonderful, really improves taste.)
    -China Cup
    -Tea biscuit or two (must accessorize, you know)

    Strong brewed, pure, sweet tea. The nectar of the gods...


    (Note: This is not a place to discuss coffee vs. tea, nor a place to discuss ice tea. Ice tea I consider a seperate beverage.)

    First thing in the morning.
    There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

    M-milk? How much?

    Yeah, I drink several cups a day myself, usually earl gray, but I experiment with many other types as well, both in bags and loose weight.

    Sencha or Genmai Cha, straight up.

    Jasmine, straight up.

    Earl Grey with honey.

    English or Irish breakfast tea, with honey and a touch of cream.

    Bigelowe Constant Comment (Western-style tea with orange rind) and a bit of sugar.

    Iced: Sweet Tea - Mint & Honey; Iouen Sencha; Honest - Just Green Tea

    Medicinal: Echinichea (sp) and Golden Seal, lemon, honey; Chamomille (sp)
    Be intent on loyalty

    Lipton Tea with hot water and five teaspoon of sugar.

    Or the local version of 'pulled' tea made with hot water, condensed milk and evaporated milk.

    Or Green tea or artichoke tea

    Sometimes I'll drink blueberry flavored black tea, with a few packets of Splenda.

    Plain oolong, no extras. Tieguanyin if I'm feeling particularly hardcore, one third leaves two-thirds water.

    Who cares? Grab a bag regardless of what brand it is, chuck in the mug drown in boiling water, dash it with milk, add 3 sugars for good measure, and then throw it down my neck.

    Usually, about four cups a day, unless I"m home all day, then it becomes countless.

    Right now I'm drinking some demented "Breathe Easy" herbal blend because it's 4:30 in the morning and I'm not. Breathing easy that is. Bloody allergies.

    Taste like thyme and mint or something. Not too bad.

    I usually drink either ice tea or cooled down (room temp) lipton tea with lots of lemon and some sweetener.

    Pah, you can take your fancy pants brands, i'll take nice generic Tetley's or Yorkshire Tea any day of the week.

    Ah, Assam tea from my local tea and coffee merchant, with milk and a little sugar first thing in the morning. And second thing. And for elevenses. And at lunch. And at Afternoon tea. And High tea. And just after dinner. And with supper.

    My dear mother purchased a nice vessel of Earl Grey in her recent trip to London, but I've finished all the lemon and there is no decent honey in Tesco's...

    Brand? Anything I get cheapest from the local cornershop. Those fancy teas I'll give a try if I happen to win the lottery.

    RTW, 167 BC: Rome expels Greek philosophers after the Lex Fannia law is passed. This bans the effete and nasty Greek practice of 'philosophy' in favour of more manly, properly Roman pursuits that don't involve quite so much thinking.

    Southern sweet brewed tea is the only kind I like. Just don't like hot tea (or hot drinks in general), and can't stand milk in tea. What a heathen...
