The SLI version will swallow more power than my microwave...

    Huh!
"Cry, the beloved country, for the unborn child that is the inheritor of our fear. Let him not love the earth too deeply. Let him not laugh too gladly when the water runs through his fingers, nor stand too silent when the setting sun makes red the veld with fire. Let him not be moved when the birds of his land are singing, nor give too much of his heart to a mountain or a valley. For fear will rob him of all if he gives too much."

Make of it what you will, but in DX10 video hardware is not supposed to be able to have its own private conversation without the OS butting in. This implies that SLI and Crossfire will be things of the past, so you may not have to worry about fitting two of these monsters into a case ...

Sounds bad to me for the same reason hardware RAID is preferable to software RAID.

The more I hear about DX10, the less I like. Hopefully this backfires on M$, and more software companies switch (and contribute) to OpenGL.

How does requiring a 450W PSU make it a "monster"? Isn't 550Wish the current standard anyhow?

Recently I had to buy a new PSU and I wanted to get one of the best on the market. My choices were between 600W and 700W. The brand I bought didn't even make any 450W versions of their newest line.
