This sounds suspiciously like the nVidia driver problem. What kind of video card do you have?

Edit2-> Going offline for the weekend, but if you do have an nVidia video card, try to change your anti-aliasing settings. See posts #7 or 11 from this thread:

Northnovas found this solution for nVidia's newer drivers. He suggests setting AAx2, some have set it to AAx4 and had success.

Yeah, NVidia cards are problematic with MTW.
