While it looks like your towers get to shoot more this way, they are also unmanned if I'm not mistaken as none of your infantry if actually on the walls (maybe near the walls is enough in which case ignore this statement)

On the other hand, even with towers firing, having your infantry out there might not be a good idea as they look like they'll get overrun by the cav unless you are trying to give your towers more time to take out the ram and then retreat inside and laugh ;)

Probably better to have a spear formation behind your gate to hold off cav IMO.
