    Default Mercenary units guide

    One of the most intriguing aspect in m2tw is the fact that u can give a great push and a different direction to your army.So i compilled a little guide to help especially the new players in the total war series.
    This guide is by no means complete(especially for units appearing in the late era).So anyone who can help me,correct me or make any kind of suggestions or additions is welcome.
    First of all not all units are available to diffirent factions(for example i couldnt find agfan javelimen playing as the byzantines)
    Furthermore u can recruit certain mercenaries in certain provinces(example:no bedouins in europe)
    The stats have the following order:Attack\Defence\Charge\Missile(if applicable)
    Costs:recruitment\upkeep

    1.Slav mercenaries(balkans)-40 units
    5\7\2

    bonus in woods and snow
    costs:350\150


    2.Balkan archers(balkans)-60 units
    2\1\1\5
    Flaming missiles,bonus in woods
    costs:660\150

    3.Bulgarian Brigands-60 units

    long range missiles,flaming missiles

    4.Crossbowmen

    effective against armour
    bonus in woods and snow
    long range missiles

    5.Spearmen

    can do schilntrom

    6.Cuman Horse Archers-40 units

    fast moving

    7.Alan Cavalry-40 units

    8.Beduin Cavalry-40 units

    no merc elephants then? =(

    All of this can be found in the descr_mercenaries.txt file, including merc elephants. Those you can only hire in bghdad region btw.

    Important to note are also the times between which certain mercs are available.

    I think that mercenary elephants can be recruited in bagdad.not sure
    I have included only units that i have encountered.
    As i said the guide is incomplete.
    Anyone who can contribute in anyway is more than welcome
