Default 'Twas the Night Before Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas when all through the Guild
All the forums went silent, all threads had been filled.

The noobies had posted their queries on the forums with care
In hopes that Lords Martok or Caravel soon would be there

And Mithrandir was nestled all snug in his bed
While visions of camels danced through his head

And Sasaki in his 'kerchief and Tamur in his cap
Had both downed their modems for their Christmas eve naps

When out in the Entrance Hall there rose such a clatter
I sprang to my keyboard to see what was the matter

And away from my desktop I flew double quick
I frantically gave my mouse a quick click

I nearly recoiled from my monitor in fear
For I suddenly beheld a sleigh and reindeer!

And a little old driver - so spritely was he
    Faster indeed than Steppe Cavalry

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work
He filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk

And laying a finger aside his red nose
He gave a small nod and up the chimney he rose

And I heard him exclaim, ere he rode out of sight
"Merry Christmas to all at the Guild and good night!"

Merry Christmas to all here at the Guild - apologies that I could work but a few of the ever helpful org members and mods into this sad little parody of a Christmas rhyme - sort of a spur of the moment thing.

Many thanks to all who have made this year at the org so enjoyable and informative - Kavhan Isbul, Macsen Rufus, Innocentius, Don Corleone - there are too many to name all of you individually...sincere apologies to those I have not specifically identified!

    Catch you soon!

Merry Christmas to all, and mind that you don't stand too close! After all, what is Santa's sleigh but a War Chariot in disguise?

I tried to think of another parody I could contribute to this thread, but nothing came to me (except the line "Peasants roasting on an open fire...", but even if I managed to finish that one I doubt it would be suitable for the season exactly ).

At any rate, Merry Christmas to all, and nice work bamff

Is santa's war chariot sleigh pulled by war dogs, flaming pigs and cannon-toting elephants?

Sorry, just had to say that. Merry Christmas everyone, may santa give you all a great (TW-related) gift!

What a hoot bamff, very nice. I often picture Mithrandir dreaming about camels. Merry Christmas everyone, or Happy Christmas to those who find Merry Christmas odd-sounding.
