Well, the first part of it, which I snipped out in my reveal, was something like "I know who you are, no need to deny it." Add that with the conveniently-timed voting extension, and it left all of the mafia pretty spooked.

Yes, we, or at least I, thought there was a cult. It went on the back burner after the power of Sigurd was apparently broken though.
Sigurd, why did you blatently lie about the phone numbers?
GoreBag: Oh, Prole, you're a nerd's wet dream.
I was right to vote for GH to die!![]()
Sorry man, I could've sworn you were mafia.... you were just so darned suspicious.Originally Posted by Ichigo

Congratulations are in order to the mafia goons.
Well done Disco, GH, Kommodus and Xiahou.
You truly left the right players to the endgame. I wasn't sure about any of them.
All though my gut said Xiahou at the end... I never acted on it. I guess I was afraid that it was Husar after all.
@Disco, The lie about the phone numbers was a ruse to see what Kommodus would do. And he basically delivered as I hoped he would. All thought he was guilty after those blowouts.
The later discrepancies were just due to bad memory as I never really had the time to do a thorough read of the thread.
All in all, a fun game...
Thank you people![]()

Well you guys won it, congrats!![]()
The town should thank Sigurd the most. He was like the guardian angel.
G-Hanky, that PM to you was mainly to completely flush you out, and perhaps get a another Mafia in the bag. You played it well in the first reply, but your second PM of "swing the vote my way" was a-
.
The favor I was going to ask you if you'd comply was to kill people that I wanted killed (namely, those who voted for me).
I would have played with that for awhile, but eventually I would turn on you anyway.
Sigurd had basically got the heat on Kommodus, but after the town failed to lynch him on the first attempt, I really lost interest in the game, thinking they had lost it. Just checked the game now, and even though Kommodus died, Mafia still won....
GG
We killed lots of townies and won.
GH screwed up. Oh yeah, so did X. He blocked Sir Moody instead of Sir Boo, although that apparently was a good thing.
More later, maybe

How about that writeup?

is this game oveR?
We do not sow.
I think Kommodus won this for the bad guys (Good choice Disco!).
Based on his past credibility, his neutral verbal style, and his staying relatively calm under pressure, I defended him against Ichigo and Siggy, carrying the water for him -- he had me fooled. I allowed Kommo to persuade me -- mostly indirectly I might add -- to let him last an extra round. Even when I began to doubt seriously,
In doing so, I glommed onto a relative lurker who was twigging my antennae -- Dutch.
I then started a bandwagon which rolled over him and took out one of our Masons. My mistake.
In the interplay that followed, Moody ended up breaking a role rule and getting wogged, depriving the town of a needed townie and our last power player. My mistake is compounded.
By then, Kommodus's argument style and posting approach was clearly out of step with his norm, and I voted for his destruction, but the damage had been done. Right track at last, but not rolling smooth.
As things progressed, I began to view Xiahou as the most likely mafia finalist in my little hit parade, but I had been too distracted with capo to make a proper case. Since I had, by this point, very clearly led a wagon that ended up depriving the town of all of its masons, I had little credibility left when it came down to a Xiahou v Seamus lynching show-down. I opted out so that Xiahou might be spotlighted, but the attrition had already gone against us and my bowing out was not evidence enough in itself.
I got played by Kommo, and I set up the town for the fall. I will not try to host a large game and townie it again -- it was a poor effort.![]()

Oh Seamus, I'm flattered, but I think you give me far too much credit. It was a team effort, to be sure, but IMO Xiahou and GH really deserve the bulk of the credit. The were the ones who came up with the strategy of having Xiahou post the screenshot evidence from the chatroom, which provided him with the alibi needed to win.
I was, without a doubt, the worst mafioso on the team! My problem is this: I suck at lying, so as soon as I'm accused, it's pretty much a sure thing that I'll go down sooner or later. It's the same pattern established in Mafia III - as long as no suspicion came my way I was fine, but the moment I was accused I gave myself away. That's why people like GH, Sigurd, and Sasaki are far better mafiosi - they can get accused and still pull through. I can't even defend myself as a townie.![]()
Sure, I got in a few hard jabs, mainly because Sigurd and the masons left themselves open to having their credibility questioned. That's the only reason I was able to convince a few people for a little while, notably you and Husar. In fact, though, in the round that you got Dutch_guy lynched, I didn't have anything to do with my own survival - it was JimBob who saved me by giving me an unexpected alibi (thanks dude!)

By the way Seamus, why did you push for my lynch ? I still don't quite get it, as I was successfully laying low, protecting villagers.Originally Posted by Kommodus

You were twigging me because you were just a touch more active than typical. This put you on my threat board for evaluation.Originally Posted by Dutch_guy

As it turns out, of course, Kommo then showed himself to be out of kilter entirely, but a round late to prevent me from targeting you.
With Moody compounding my mistake in targeting you, I really think it ended up as a game-breaker.![]()
