One thing I've noticed about M2 is that'll throw a lot of adoptees at you. It's like some pushy social services agency. I think the game tries to maintain a certain ratio of faction members to territories, and offering adoptions is one way to do that.

I've also noticed (and this is by no means scientific) that most of the adopted folks end up in the faction heir's family tree. If we see this pattern in this game we might have to reconsider house assignments along family lines at some point.

You might not like the haircut but due to the wonky inheritance AI this Kid could be Kaiser at some point.

Yeah, in my limited play testing I've noticed that - as HRE I got approx 5 in 20 turns! Haven't noticed the family tree link though.

BTW - I plan to keep my own campaign to a minimum now so I can concentrate on this one, need to still install the Mod we've decided upon but I hope to get that done tomorrow night.

If you check the directory, kotr1084-2 is the last one uploaded. I'm currently on 1088 and will upload that if you want me to. Just waiting on TinCow's response before I fire up the game again.

OOC response: I don't think I have any control over what settlements the computer picks to block the queue in when there's a lack of funds.

Just want to confirm that Sigismund der Stoltze will indeed become Emperor once Prinz Henry has died. Since he is the adoptee Sigismund will be treated like his first-born child.

In my current game I have adopted a no-adoption rule for faction heirs if their firs born son is not yet of age to keep the Royal line from watering down. However the HRE was never a royal blood line monarchy, so I don't know how we should handle it.

There's always the possibility that Sigismund might die first though. Don't forget that he is about Henry's age.

I'll assign this avatar to Ignoramus - he contributed a lot to Will of the Senate. I hope Warluster will understand.

I've come to realise the potential problem with Swabia getting a disproportionate share of the avatars. There's a limit to what we can do about it at this stage. Certainly, the Chancellor should reject Swabian adoptees or marriage candidates if they look unpromising or even just so-so. And, after Warluster and Kagemusha have avatars, he could reject them fullstop until the other Houses are fully staffed.

As a mild balancing factor, Swabia will be losing Prinz Henry at some point. And when we reach the point where we have more avatars than players, it should not matter much. (Only players vote, not playerless avatars).
