OOC response: I don't think I have any control over what settlements the computer picks to block the queue in when there's a lack of funds.

Am I in Staufen or Frankfurt? Sigismund, I mean. I'm just curious.

Well, you were in Staufen but now you're with Prinz Henry besieging Metz.

Ok, and just one more thing. Apart from the patch, what mods are we using?

ok, installed the VnV mod but one question?
the two .txt files need to be in what folder in the .data directory? I have then just currently sitting in the .data folder without being in a subfolder.
now, I opted for maintaining the siege as I went back on a past save file and as Prague has Sergeant Spearmen plus "whatever" and I only have a one unit advantage in numbers I really think assaulting now...in Winter and without waiting for a potential response for re-enforcements would be silly.
BTW - have not tested the game yet since installing the VnV mod.
My Steam Community Profile - Currently looking for .Org members I know with NTW for MP stuff (as I'm new to that...lol)
I put the files in the main data folder. The bat file is in the M2 main directory. I have been running the game fine with no problems. Of course medifix is subtle for a Mod so it's tough to tell if it's working or just vanilla. From some of the traits and retainers I've seen though, I think it's working. Governors aren't morphing into syphilitic morons and such.
The upcoming Diet should be interesting, from reviewing WotS it seemed that one of the main dividing points was expansion versus consolidation. Throw in the four Houses and there should be some fun oratorical broadsides coming up.

I guess we will be handing out some declarations of war soon.

They all declared on me. Venice first, then they all began to pile on. The Danes even betrayed our Marriage alliance. Of course this is just my test game run off the initial KotR 1080 save, results in the actual KotR might vary. Though once we reach a certain size we'll most likely be unpopular.Originally Posted by Ignoramus

That's because you've got them all queued up in advance. If you only purchase the buildings when production finishes, you won't have that problem. Then when that occurs and you have 2 cities that need new construction, but can only afford it for 1 of them, you prioritize the Bavarian cities. I know it's a pain in the ass, welcome to politics!Originally Posted by GeneralHankerchief

EDIT: Ig, we're using a small mod that fixes some Vice-and-Virtues traits. Check back a page or two for the full details.

Hey, I don't remember if any of you remember me. But I took part in some RTW: BI PBMs a long time ago. Is it too late to get involved in this?
Nah, it's never too late, we just got started.
Ignoramus - I've put details of the mod in the first post. It's medifix 1.2.
I agree with TinCow about build queues - just because a governor wants something doesn't mean the Chancellor should actually put in the queue in game; if it's too expensive, just build nothing in the governor's settlement. There's a pretty hard budget constraint in the early game and part of being Chancellor is picking out the best investments. Farms, ports and barracks that enable free militia are good economic investments early on. In my early games, I focus on one or two castles to get high tech troops but tend to let the towns sit idle apart from economic investments.
Welcome, Zomby_Woof. The House of Franconia could use a Fourth Elector, are you interested?
Details of players and houses are now kept in the first post of this thread:
