I would say back off to let the Milanian army to move away from Venice ro besiege it and assault it. Other than that, there isnt too much for you to do

"I do not know what I may appear to the world; but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me." - Issac Newton

Well, if you back off enough and give them a way out and they take it, there you go, problem solved. If you do that and they don't move, just proceed to sit there, then it sounds to me like a bug, in that the AI should attack or move, esp. if it's a crusade and there are desertion penalties. "Camping" should not be a viable option in this case given the situation.
Is it cheating to get around a bug (provided it is actually a bug)?Originally Posted by FactionHeir

IIRC there is no desertion if you already arrived in the target province

Do not worry as far as i know:
as long as i know when you are really near the crusade tagret you will not get deserters, only watch that your general doesnt die of old age...
Better than sitting there for the next 50 years achieving nothingOriginally Posted by FactionHeir

Well i have tried now to give the venison army the space to move. But when i pres the end turn button they do move there army but in the same turn they place another crusading army back![]()
i haven't tried to assassinate the leader or bribe him but the last one isn't really an option because i'm still in the early age so i don't have that much florins
So ill try to assassinate him then
A "venison army"? I want some of that. Don't give them the space to move - kill them all immediately and your army will have enough free food for weeks. And your general can put a stag's head in every room in his house.Originally Posted by snorky

Imagine the after-battle movie, showing the vanquishers of said army sitting down to a few steaks and chops cooked over a massive roaring fire.....
