Sadly that was also true of Rome: Total War. The three great Roman factions always seemed to say much more about the faction(s) they were fighting and the enemy's number compared to the other culture groups such as the Greeks and Barbarians. Also, unfortunately, some groups had "clone" speeches such as the Egyptians, Easterners and Carthaginians which, sadly, removed some variety. Although I do not own M2:TW, I would beleive that, from what I have seen, that the speeches have much more variety. Yet if the variety is of higher quality or not remains for me to see.
