The start of the Pontic Wars
The year is 241 BC.
At the army camp of Aram near Mazaka, Aram and his captains where planning their march back to Hayastan when a soldier came inside with the message" Arkah a Pontic messenger has arrived with a message for you"
Aram asked "Who has send the message?"
"I don't know my king."
"Send him inside"
The messenger came in the commanders tent ,bowed for the king and gave him the letter and left without saying a word.
Aram opened the letter and read and after he was done reading he trow his wine glass to the messenger that was standing outside his tent.

The letter:
My dear old friend Aram now King of Hayastan
I hope you rember me it has been 7 years since I have seen you.
And I hope you rember my daughter who you said you loved like your on daughter. I have a favor to ask you. It's not for me that favor but for my daughter. I'll tell you the story so you'll understand what has happened: the old king of Pontus has raped and kidnaped my daughter!! Now the favor I want to ask you is go and talk to the king of Pontus and demand that he releases my daughter.

My old friend I still love your daughter like she was my own child and if anybody would do that to my child I'll go to war so now my army will march to Amaseia and rescue your daughter.

Aram give's his letter to one of his one messengers and sends him of to Amaseia.

I'm now very bored so I'll post a part of chapter one today
I'll trey to start the story where I left

Chapter 1

Aram returned to his tent and called al his captains together and told them that they need to make the army ready for a march to Amaseia. No captain dared to ask why? There where two reasons for that one he was their king and second they saw how angry he was. The captains left the tent leaving Aram behind with his anger. Aram started to write a letter to the counsel of nobles why we was going to war with Pontus. The letter was short and clear.

Letter to the counsel:
Aram I of Hayastan, King of Kings has decided that we are now in war with the Pontic treaders and they shall be defeated with the will of the gods .

Few weeks later the army was ready and started the march when a messenger arrived from Arbela with the message that the Iberian tribe of the Lustona has send a diplomat to our city with the demand for trade rights if we pay 190 mnai.
The king accept the offer and paid the money.


The army of the king marched further and one day they saw a barbarian messenger who has been send from his village elder with the message that if
the king can pay enough his men will fight for him. The king had now some decent infantry. Three weeks later they got a other hay messenger this time from Ipsos with the message a Macedonian diplomat has arived there and has a offer of alliance with him. The king started to laugh and told the messenger "Go and accept the alliance, I know we where not alone in this war" he screamed out.


A mount or two later they arrived in Amaseia and laid siege to the city.


The seige whent one for 6 mounts and in the meanwhile the second army under the command of Anushavan started the march to Phraaspa to take conquer the city from the Selseudik dogs.
While time past by on the sixed mount the hay scouts spotted a large Pontic Army to the nord of Amaseia


A few weeks later they arrived and tried break the siege by attacking us

Aram gave a speech before the battle " man you have fought the Diadochio empires soldiers now fight against those Persian scum and show the world what we already now that the finest soldiers ride out with me"
The Pontic battle line started to move


The Hay horse archers started to fire their deadly arrows to Pontic battle line meanwhile the forces that where in the city moved to reinforce the saviors


The fights going on and the Hay king now filled with bloodthearst cheaged into the scythed chariots and startes to fight with them and the skirmishers


The infantry started to charge the mighty phalanx and destroy and prove themself that they can fight and they are equal soldiers like the horse archers who kill with evrey arrow


After the chariots the king killed even more men when he attack the skirmishers and he even killed the governor of Amaseia




The infantry kept on fighting without giving up


It was again the king who saved the day



and in the end it was a great victory for Hayastan and the city was under Hay control.
When Aram interred the city he started to search after his friend Ashot and he found him but it was not what he taught it would be. He and his family where ...

Really nice AAR! I tried an Armenian campaign once but those gigantic rebel stacks kept threatening me, so I gave up. Can't wait to read your second chapter!

Chapter 2

When the soldiers entered the city the started to the robe the city from it's riches but the king stopped it. He had other worries, where was Ashot gone to he was not in his store or house. The night fell and Aram marched with his knights to the royal Pontic palace to sleep there and start the search early in the morning. When he interred the chambers of the king he saw the body of his friend and his family laying on the floor. He started to scream and cry and he killed the Pontic slave who had opened the door and he run back to his soldiers and ordered "Arrest every man you come across tonight tomorrow they will work like slaves on the farms across whole of Hayastan." That was the faith for th people of Amaseai. But in the meanwhile when the Aram was giving his orders the council of nobles was gathered to decide what they should do about this war without reason .

Report from the council.


The council came togheter in the royal palace of the Hayastan in Armavir.
Many nobles had come but there were also nobles who had blood connection with the Pontic king. Those fools had taken the arms against Hayastan and the kingdom was now in a civil war. The council had to stop this war one way or another.
Artavadz stood up and started to talk.
"Hay Nakharars, azat martik,( hay nobles, free men)you are here today to see how we can end this war whit Pontus and to see how we can restore the peace in our mountains now are our brothers our enemies because they have taken up the arms against our grate and mighty Arkah." Anoushavan didn't know why his uncle had called the council togheter but it was luck and the will of the gods that he was here this day and not the will of with the help of his uncle. He started to look around in the room and most of them where old men who where cheering for his uncle the young lords followed the king and his victories. Now Artavadz whent on whit his speech" The first thing we need to do is make peace with Pontus and then we need to give the command of the royal army to a general that is loyal to the kingdom and the council and not to his self." On the moment when he started to talk about taking the command away from the king most of the young nobles drew their swords. At that moment Anushavan stood up with his sword in his hand and look at his uncle and shouted to him "Since when do you decide who leads which army, since when old fool are you the king, I don't remeber anybody sending the king a message that the council has come togheter. You old fool you thought you could become king now my brother is not here." At that moment a messenger came inside and started to talk " The King of POntus has accepted a ceasefire between the two kingdoms." Anushavan cursed and started to laugh and said to his uncle,"Wait thil my brother comes. Then you'll hope you where dead." And left the room. The time past and Aram heard about the peace between Hayastan and Pontus . He didn't go to war again because he didn't want to show that his kingdom was devited in two parties. And in the meanwhile thos nobles where killed by Anoushavan and the Second Army Od Hayastan and the lands of the nobles where devited between his men and he started his march to Babylon to conquer that city and build there the new capital of the kingdom while his brother will take the last few settelments of Seleucia on Asia-Minor.
