I've got a problem

Okay, so I installed Medieval II yesterday, but i've got a really annoying problem!
Sometimes, when i press different keys on the keyboard, something called "MedievalShell" comes up, the "Total war keys"-thing comes up, the thing that shows controls. And it mutes my sound!
So now when i was playing i pressed CTRL twice, it loaded another save! And when press like "arrow up" this "medievalshell" comes up, the sound gets muted and the thing that shows controls comes up.

What on earth is this? I've never experienced this when i played it before.
I've tried reinstalling twice.

Others have been reporting keyboard problems too. Do a forum search on your exact problem and you'll come up with something.
