Anyone else have a battle like this? Seems kind of ridiculous, but I think the lesson of the day is don't charge up a mountain with spear militia against two units of heavy cavalry![]()

hehe
great victory
it happenes alot though
i myself had a few weird battles when i was uphil (ontop off hill), the best was with longbowmen and some dfk...
first i placed stakes to cover the only way to me, then when battle started, i moved them back and placed my dfk behind the stakes...
i took out one ful and half of another stack with i think no losses or maybe some minor ones![]()
That's a good tactic. I wish Russia had access to Lithuanian Archers so I could do the same.Originally Posted by zstajerski
After this, I think I may take a few units of heavy cav and stick them right next to a mountain in enemy territory to enctice full stacks to charge up mountains against me.
With my victory, I think it's funny that 75 spearmen and 49 heavy cav can hold over 700 men as prisoners...
Great win with i could get a victory like that.![]()
But the uphill advance isnt bugged? You get bonus being on the lower side?

There is an uphill DISADVANTAGE. I was at the top, their 1,000 troops were at the bottom.Originally Posted by fabiano

Doing the more powerful cavalry charge (single click) is devastating enough as it is, but the advantage of charging downhill was just too much. Using the cliffs on my left to protect from flanking, I would charge two units (which would only last a few seconds), rip them apart, run back, repeat.
