You know, I thought I'd remembered seeing another thread about GW, but I couldn't find any from the last month or so. In any case, thanks for the responses guys; they're much appreciated.![]()

Its pretty fun, not alot of grind, though its pvp-centered and its really hard to get into pvp, well pvp thats winning Hall of heroes or pvp versus guilds on the Top guild list...
One guild my guild was allied with actually got to the top 700, not long though...

Yeah, I was reading about the PVP bit. I have to be honest, it's not really my cup of tea. If I'm going to play an RPG with other people, I'd prefer more cooperative play over all else. For that reason, I've also been looking at LotR Online. Of course, that would require the monthly fee again....![]()

Even though Arenanet likes to promote PvP a lot, the vast majority of Guild Wars players are PvE-oriented. It should not be difficult to find guilds or entire alliances solely devoted to PvE or even roleplaying.
If you like the combat system in GW, odds are you'll like the rest of the game. I can provide you with a trial key for any of the campaigns if you're interested. The keys allow for 10 hours of play over 14 days, whichever comes first, and characters are preserved if you decide to buy the game later. Just PM me.
EDIT: there's also this: http://www.guildwars.com/support/gam...ilogytrial.php

I have a char in late-game Elona and it is becoming increasingly frustrating to attempt the missions with PUG. If anyone is in the same boat as me, or wouldn't mind helping, drop me a line.
