Sorry guys, I only get back here at odd times,

I solved the problem by using copied lines and changing them over.

But now I am using a EDU Editor I found, and it's pretty good. Well at the unit side of things, don't like the Descr editor on it.

I am not sure where i got it, but it's called.....file name.. "BMTWTS_04192007" ...Do a search in the org or the TWC, and it will throw something up.
PS: I got my Byzantine Crossbow to finally work, by pinching the idea off another part mod, from the french adventer. Besides, it looks more Byzantinish than frenchie.

So completes my Byzantine make over,

Kataphracts, now properly back to being the most heavily armoured, and powerful chargers. As they developed the crouch lance, close charge. Can't get them to use a bow and mace, with the lance though, so will need two units of kata's to imitate RL.

1. Menevlatoi - heavy infantry, heavily armoured, were developed from the front ranks of the Chiliarchiai, where they had 3m Kontos, now the menevlatoi have the 4.5m pikes as in real life, under the Comenus Emporers later period. Emporer John, If i am not mistaken.

2. Imperial Guard Musketeers, Elite Roman Guards, heavy armour, well trained. Janassry Musketeers are more heavily armoured, but i got a faster rate of fire for lighter armour.
If they had of survived, they would have had muskets.

3. Arquebusiers, standard gun troops. As per everyone else.

4. Standard Crossbow, good defense, armoured, good melee, literally a Roman heavy infantryman with a crossbow as primary. It's like saying we can fight, or if we are lazy? We can shoot pointy sticks at you.

5. mortar
6. Culivern
7. bombard, was already available.

Also gave axes to Trebziod Archers, and Guard Archers, as per RL. That means roman archers were generally equiped with axes as secondry weapons. Depending upon the Archer type, (or psiloi as a Toxotai is a horse archer). as to what level of armour.

8. Changed the Dismounted byzantine lancers, to the Immortals, heavy infantry, slightly better than normal heavy infantry, to represent those choosen sons' of soliders. Though, still using a sword as primary.

9. latinkon, as per RL to the Pronoia, as per the land grants from Alexis, John and Manuel.

And some other changes, but hey, all's fair in medieval total fenir.
