As an outsider, I have picked up from US posters that the primary race is always about appealing to the base. It may even go over well with some other sectors of the electorate, but not I think, with most Amercians (other than a kind of conceptual acknowledgment of strength and power).Originally Posted by drone
One assumes this kind of language appeals since most candidates adopted the stance, but should one of them actually become president they will find the real world less accomodating.
