in the unit descr, it set longbowmen as english and slaves, if i delete slaves s it only says england, will the game work properly and not allow rebels/slaves to use longbowmen?
cheers

ok thanks, and say if i wanted england to have musketeers or handgunners would i just add england to the list of countires that can use them? or are other steps needed?
cheers
If you wanted to be able to train them ingame, you would have to edit the 'export_descr_buildings' file, by finding musketeers and handgunners wherever they appear in there and adding england to the list of factions that can use them, making sure to use the same format as the rest of the file, because descr_buildings seems to have a fit if you even have a misplaced (space), so be careful.
You'd also have to edit the 'unit_db' file in the 'unit models' folder, assigning england textures, sprites and attatchments in the respective entries of handgunners and musketeers. The easy way to do that would be to just copy the texture etc. entries for an existing faction but relabel them as england, prefferably using venetian textures as they have reddy uniforms already. Or alternatively you could make your own textures if you want them. See the tutorial on creating units over in the tutorials section for more detail.
