Default Rise of the Frontroom Threads

Whats with all the "best..." threads going round atm?

they were fun at the start....now theyve gotten a bit boring
    When I was a child
    I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
    The child is grown,
    The dream is gone.
    I have become comfortably numb...

I don't know exactly but I think it has to do with a band called Skynyrd. Can somebody confirm?

It was Gawain that did it....honest guv.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

Yes it was me. But I only started like 5 and all were on the best of various musical groups. Now people are spamming. Starting nonsensical threads like whats the next thread to be closed and the random topic thread. We should do like TWC did and have an arts section for music , movies and other art forms to be discussed in.

The Frontroom's content is a reflection of the Frontroom contributors. BKS and I do not decide what gets posted, we merely guide the threads along established paths, when required, and keep them in line with Frontroom norms, which are also a reflection of the members.

If the flavour of the month is to post pics of your favorite grocery coupons, and the members partake, then so be it. The Frontroom is just one example of the Org. membership expressing itself. For good or bad, it's entirely up to you.

The Beatles aren't that bad music wise, although their hopeless films were a little tedious and unrealistic to say the least. Obviously though, people loved them in the swinging seventies when that sort of early pop music was in fashion - how else did they become among the richest people in Britain!

Can the mods or admins tell us who is currently ahead in the number of times been banned race, between DevDave and Tribes? What's the all-time top 10 list?

And, now, with the rise of the Frontroom threads, of course I must point out the following: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=87014

Seeing those threads spawn and adding the fact people actively participate in them, reconsidering my proposal is logical. What say you, Org staff? :)

Oh man, I've got him beat on that contest. He's not even worthy to even sniff my troll jock strap.
Look, the amount threads in the Frontroom are appropriate because they are of different subject matter. Its just the nature of the beast. Consider this, the the Backroom its mainly events, in the Frontroom its more or less small talk. Some might find it boring but thats why there are other places to go. Or you can just livin up the place like me and throw in an honest opinion here and there and deal with the reprocussions later!!!

But I'm not sure whether such perverse interests should be stimulated.
