    Default Image Editor

    Hi All,

I was wondering if people had a suggestion on a resonable Image Editor.
the work it would be for is for signiture pics that I can add personalised text too, my game-tag etc.
as its just for this small job mostly obviously dont want to be splashing the cash too much though I recognise Freeware may not be upto it.

    Any ideas ???

If you want something like Photoshop (without having to pay Photoshop prices), try the GIMP. It's an open-source photo editor tool, works on Windows/Mac/Linux, and it's free. Might take a little getting used to, but it can do pretty much everything Photoshop can.

GIMP's alright. The best I've ever used though is PSP7. (I do not have a newer version, so I don't know if the newer ones are any good:P, but I'd guess they're only better)
I have used Photoshop, but found it lacking in some features compared to PSP. Don't get me wrong, Photoshop is MUCH more powerfull and can do much more, but somethings that are really good in PSP are missing.
My advice? Get GIMP and buy PSP. PSP isn't that expensive (esp if you buy an older version like 7).

GIMP's nice, if lacking the interface improvements of Photoshop.

Paint lol, but seriously there have been some seriously sick guys using paint. If you go look on youtube there is one guy that drew the mona lisa using only paint and it looks just like the real painting.
