The most significant event of the year is King William II forming the Danish Expedition. Tired of sitting in the capital and his years numbered he forms an army and moves to Denmark with the North Sea Fleet. He will find out what happened to the Danish Royals and possible claim the throne for England through his late wife Ingrid daughter of King Harrald III of Denmark.

There was news of their appearance earlier but now they are attacking with brutal force.

From the Vatican news comes that Venice has been excommunicated and the HRE have been reconciled. Other news from Rome Senior Diplomat Frigge passes away. The Duke of York's son Garrett comes of age and is ready to take command.

The Duke of York is confronted with another Portuguese force and with the arrival of reinforcements from Wales he wastes no time and attacks.
