From experience of other PBEM's (mostly Battleground Napoleonic) trying to apply voluntary rules to the game causes more trouble than it does enhance play. I'm afraid if the programme allows it then sooner or later it will happen. Best just to accept the vanilla version of the game with all its flaws.

Hmm! I'm somewhat confused. I definately, did end my turn. In fact just to check that the save had worked correctly I loaded to saved game file and made sure that the Russian password screen appeared. So, if you somehow managed to gain access to my maps and units then I suspect this is a flaw in the game system somewhere rather than an oversight on my part.

The only other possibility, which doesn't bear thinking about, is that somehow I sent you the wrong saved game.

    CONFUSED
Ok! I'm somewhat confused now. Becuase of Bob's comment that my turn had not been completed properly and that he was able to view the Scottish map before ending my turn and commencing his I became concerned that I had sent him my Start of Turn file, rather than my End of Turn file, which I know had ended and had tested to make sure it showed the Russian password screen when loaded.

So, just to confirm that I had uploaded and linked the right file I decided to load the file I had uploaded again onto my PC and make sure that the Russian password screen came up.

Well, it didn't......the weird thing is that instead, what came up, was the Scottish Password screen.

The good news is that when I entered my password and looked at the map it showed all my units in the correct positions I had left them in at the end of my last turn. So, I didn't send Bob the wrong file.

The bad news is that even if you complete your turn and see the password screen for the next faction appear it does not actually mean that the game system has saved at this point and even reloading the saved game and seeing the next factions password screen displayed does not mean that this will be the case for the next player.
