A turn delayed another day may not be all that much, but add all those together and some needing more than a day, and this hotseat is never going anywhere unfortunately.

It was clear from the outset that turns would have to be played within 48 hours or be skipped. Thus far, its been rather lax on some occassions, but in the interest of all players involved, we need to keep to that limit. If you cannot play a turn within the 48 hour limit, have someone else play it for you within that limit. Just make sure that you announce it in the thread beforehand so people are aware.

Also, I would very much appreciate if players who already know in advance that they cannot play their turn could ask for it to be skipped or played by another. That has been done avidly in the past and has kept the game flowing rather nicely.

Fair enough. But it it has been my perception that this PBM has been moving along just fine, and such a strict interpretation is not necessary.

I ask that the other plays give their opinions, if none agree then the issue is settled. Regardless, I yield to Zim's save.

I'm inclined to be lenient, especially when a player responds quickly after the intent to skip is announced. I understand FH's point though about our pace, however, and there has to be some point at which the rules become firm.

It's not your fault at all, Ichigo. I check threads before I check PMs; I completed my turn well within the time limit. I must have got distracted after I compressed the save file and forgot to upload it. I need to be more careful about that, as this is not the first time it's happened.

No announcements of consequence. King Wladyslaw does wish it to be known that he employs no assassins of any kind, as the good King is far too chivalrous to engage in such lowly behavior.

I must admit to have no shortage of spies (hence the French King's moniker, see my sig) but no assassins at present.. although recruitment facilities exists...

As far as I'm aware, the previous Scottish player didn't hire any assassins, and I've spent every florin on buildings.

Now, now, there are some AI factions still in the game, and in theory they could train assassins.

My own lands are gradually becoming covered by an extensive network of watch towers, with which I hope to detect any foreign agents making incursions.
