Mirage41, of Broken Crescent has recently opened up forums for this, one of the best/most awaited mods of M2TW. He has a ton of things he needs to post. The problem is that him being a new user of the .org, he cannot post a new thread in something like 10 minutes or something (599 seconds).

I think the mods should consider lifting the obvious spambot protection when it comes to this guy, as he is not a spambot, nor does he have malicious intent. He just wants to post stuff of his teams' mod in here.

May I suggest to Tosa that flood control for Junior Members is reduced to about sixty seconds. I've seen a few complaints from Junior Members who cannot endure the long wait - especially if they have many questions they wish to ask.

I agree and disagree. The flood control taught me to think out my posts. Make them worthwhile. But in the case of mod infomation, yes.

Hmm, perhaps that's a debatable item. I find the restrictions a little harsh, but, if they do encourage thinking before an individual posts, then they may be worth it.

Not too sure if this is a possibility, but perhaps flood control, and maybe even the edit button restriction, could be made obsolete in the mod forums? That could prevent the problem originally discussed from occurring again. I'm not too sure if an non-uniform system could encourage bots to post in the less restricted forums though.

I don't think the massive flood control is a good idea. It really doesn't do anything, and removing it would stop people whining about the long flood control.

While I tended to view flood control as somewhat annoying back then, I do think it helps in letting one think about what one wishes to post, especially senseless posts such as "I agree" or restating what was stated or a borderline spam post.

It also encourages to seek for an answer using the search function or going a page or two further in a given subforum instead of focussing only on what's on page 1.
