    Default Time frame

    Hello to everyone

    i noticed 2 things playing M2TW:

    1)in the right-bottom corner of the screen i find out only the actual turn and not the date of play

    2) It seems to me that the time passes to much fast! (i played 34 turns and it 1134 or something like that).

    Can you help me with this to issue?

    Thanks in advance

    1. Find descr_strat.txt and add a ; before show_date_as_turns
    2. You can change the timescale to slow the year progression although this will make things somewhat less historic (but most people don't mind that anyway). A detailed walkthrough on that is in my signature - link 1.

    Thank you Faction Heir

    another request: i'm a newbie so do you think that is good to set the time frame to 1? Or is better to 0.5?

    Its really down to personal choice.
    Your generals are hardcoded to age 0.5 years a turn, so at 0.5 timescale, they age synchronously.
    In the end, it doesn't actually matter which timescale you use, as you can scale the start/end year as well if you like.
    Its more of a personal choice thing really. Personally, I prefer 1.0 for no obvious reasons.

    @frapast1981

    one other thing to bear in mind is that if you mod the time frame then the events (notably, gunpowder, mongols, timurids & america) take longer to arrive. so if these matter to you, you need to mod them too.

    This is all covered in the tutorial I linked you to, so when you change the frame, you need to change all those factors as well (unless you never want to get to that)
