Name's Brian, live in Jo'burg, sunny South Africa. Way too damned sunny this past week! *Wipes sweat from brow, orders a tall, cold MGD*

    "Damn, that's good!"

I write for money. Otherwise I race dirt bikes. I ride mountain bikes, canoe, fly microlights, play paintball, scuba dive, spear fish, read, draw like a blind epileptic having a seizure, play board games (A&A Miniatures in particular) and I'm building myself a house to live in. But these days I mostly love getting behind my keyboard for a spot of Gaul-bashing, Roman style!

I grew up reading books with lavish illustrations of Roman fortifications, siege engines and squads of legionnaires methodically marching across the known world. They bashed Gauls, Spaniards, Greeks, Africans, Arabs and Asians before they got bashed by a bunch of bawdy Goths. On that note *takes a long draw on the MGD* ...Ponders vaginas... Nope. Dirt bikes are better.

I love the Total War concept and EB just kicked it up a couple of notches. What could be more fun than living the child's dreams of glorious, romantic, sanitised and ancient battle? Woot!

I'd tend to agree there chap. Can't say I remember tasting Bidendens but as I do the cellar at our local beer festival its highly likely I've tried it at some point

I'm off on holiday to Somerset next week so intend to be drinking Cider as a rule....

Have they got the Wurzels on the juke box?

Hi Micasa..I used to do Paintball...waay cool, I've still got all my markers in the loft what do do you use?

    Nice to meet you Brian.

Well, you sound like you live life to the fullest.

Hmmm, yes, dirt bikes just might be more entertaining than vaginas....depends on what mood I'm in.

Sorry "beast", I ate my banana already. It was beginning to dry up and there was some notable shrinkage, so it wouldn't have lasted long.

Well I guess it would be my turn to sit at the bar.

*orders a shot of vodka and a mojito*

My name is Joe and I hail from Woodland, California. It's about 20 minutes outside of Sacramento. I'm an Accountancy major at California State University, Sacramento and hope one day to open up my own accounting practice.

As for hobbies I golf and play guitar. Those are my two passions other than EB. And as for drinks, well, nothing goes like a cold brew but lately the hard stuff has been tickling my fancy. Most notable, vodka on the rocks or, what I ordered, a mojito. Anyone who hasn't tried a mojito should do so now, you won't regret it. Drinkin could be another one of my hobbies, but I don't know if that qualifies, and I have a particular liking for a certain green substance...

    *orders another shot*

**Walks in, sees the bar is full, no place to sit. Studies the patrons for a moment....aahh!! There's the one!!. Walks over to the poor unsuspecting lad at the bar that insists on playing vanilla RTW. Grabs him by the scruff and tosses him out the front door onto the street where he belongs and says " get lost vanilla boy!!" "by the Gods this is the EB Tavern!!". Rightfully takes his seat at the bar and says..."bartender, Heneiken draft in the tallest damn glass you have in the place." The bartender being the agreeable fellow that he is complies and the newly arrived EB patron chugs it down in true frat boy style and says...."keep'em coming bartender..BTW bartender, me thinks we need a little old school Metallica playing in the background at ear drum splitting levels to liven things up around here a bit and give this bar the true ambiance of danger just lurking under a thinly veiled surface..."**

My name is Luis. I live in perhaps the most crooked politically not to mention perhaps the banana republic capital of The United States. In case that doesn't give it away. I'm in Miami, Florida. As it happens i'm also a humble civil servant of this aforementioned City in a capacity which i will leave undisclosed. The City itself is great ( well the sunny beachy side anyways ). Went to school here, lots to do, beautiful women everywhere. It's the politics of the place that ruin it...if you pay attention to such things, that is. I'm an athletically inclined individual and i love baseball and am a sick football fan. ( American Football that is ) Politically i would probably be described as consertative in nature, although that isn't always the case...but for the most part this holds true. I"m an avid reader....rarely watch television ( mostly for sporting events)...love ancient history and all things Greek...and of course love this god forsaken EB mod which robs me of sleep on many nights.

**Leaves a big tip on the bar...hey thanks bartender, my glass was never empty while i sat here...see ya next time."**

    Thanks for my Guinness Sassem.

The rugby world cup starts in 10 minutes Kenny. Give it a watch and see a proper sport. Although it is France vs Argentina, so it'll probably be an awful game.

Now I've finished my Guinness, I think I'll try a Green King IPA. Then a MGD or an Amstell.

    Lovely!!

It's ok here. It's a little boring now and again, and the weather's nothing to write home about. But I don't think I'd move away.

You bring your 143 players that you seem to need for one game of american football, and I'll bring my boys! But more importantly, who's bringing the cheerleaders?!?!

Do Muay Thai , did TKD for 5 years but it hit me that it wasn't what I wanted . Even though I went to a joint that did full contact sparring there wasn't enough emphasis on ground fighting or flat out strikes for my tastes .

Man, its crowded in here. Is it possible to get some service? A Caiparinha would just hit the spot.

Name's Harsha. I live in Madras, India and am an executive in a finance company (if you think that sounds boring, I was an accountant earlier!). I got hooked into the whole ancient history/roman period thing pretty early as an avid reader of Asterix comics.

As luck would have it, I am hopelessly unwell and so am recuperating and undergoing treatment on and off at a hospital. I say 'luck', since this means I have time off from work to help the EB team instead of just lurking as I have been doing these past 3 years.

Damn, I could use another Caiparinha right now.

    Greetings fellow Warmongers,
I'm another strong cider lover, also found a pear cider recently which is rather delish. When my Sloe Gin and Rasberry Vodka are ready I'll drop by to see what you fine people think to my efforts.

Call me Bert, I've just turned 40yrs, so perphaps one of the more senior members here(I still think I'm 20 something, except my old war wound that tells me otherwise). I live in a small rural town in the south east of England called Ely with a Cathedral(technically making it a city).

I am married 17 yrs and have a 7yrs old boy(who thanks to EB knows abit about the old civilisations).
I have worked in various jobs since leaving school @15yrs all of which have been fine, but for the last 7yrs I have worked as a DNA sequencer. 4 days on 4 off, loads of free time and our house is detached(noise is good). And I'm lucky enough to get the detached study as my own turf.

EB/Totalwar is my principle hobby, although I like a good historical read, walks with the kid, films and the odd beverage with the mates. When I have the money another motorbike would be good, and I enjoyed my large dog and the walks in the countryside, but he died and I am taking a brake from the responsability of another, also as a family, travelling abroad is easier.

I think I´m allowed to drink stuff with max. 40% alcohol in it, dunno the exact limit now, but I know that I can drink beer and mixed stuff (all those alcopops), and with 18 you can drink everything you want, but if your parents allow to, you can do so with 16.
My father doesnt care that much, cause he knows that I watch how much I´m drinking (never got drunk and I´m proud of it).
And at the stores (exept BIG companys like wal-mart) they dont care aswell, so there are always ways to get your daily bottle of whatever, even if you´re not allowed to (it´s funny to see those 12/13yr old kids which think they are cool cause they drink some beer-cola mix which taste like pee from a monkey).

Well, here it goes. My name is Manos. I'm Greek. I'm 26 years old. I'm a medical doctor by profession. I've finished my countryside practice (mandatory) and so I got drafted in the army (also mandatory). I'm lucky enough to have traveled abroad widely visiting several countries (19 to be precise). I've been practicing judo since I was 11. I used to live in Athens but now I'm stationed in the north of Greece. Once I'm out of service I'll start my internship in invasive radiology. With all the radiation I'm gonna get I'll probably turn into a mutant superhero! Hopefully... I really love EB and I got 5 more dudes from my platoon into it too. And I'd like to have a vodka on the rocks please!

Hey Manos, nice to meet you.

I find your post especially interesting, because I'm Greek, although I was born in America....my grandfather (who was shot in Greek Town in Detroit) was from Crete (he's actually buried there now), and before that my family was from the Athens area.

I had no idea that military service was mandatory in Greece. Is it mandatory for all males of a certain age?
