People are commenting on the lack of one.

How are they decided as well?

That might have been the point... I think it's rather difficult to choose for now, but I also think anyone chosen will be worthy... After all, haven't they always been?

It didn't seem that it needed one that bad. I haven't noticed any really bad comments so far. I guess I maybe wrong. Tosa seems to be doing a pretty good job.

I have seen nothing that warrants dlt'ing. But the bad stuff comes later when units are previewed and CA's enthusiasm for posting dies after a month or two.

Oh, and i'd be willing to hepl out when that stuff happens.

I am curious about how selection of moderators occurs. I would of course think it would be based on a balance of certain qualities where some are more necessary than others.

In any case, I wonder who will be the lucky (or unlucky :P) one. Perhaps there should be a voting process organized by ORG authorities (administrators and moderators)? Just a suggestion or thought to accelerate things a bit and facilitate some people's wishes for a moderator in the ETW forum.

If I were to vote I already have a few recommendable candidates in mind and one in particular. If a voting process would be organized I think the ORG authority should select nominees who are most suitable for the task whereafter members would have to cast their votes. Just an idea thrown in.

Sorry Bijo - democracy was turned down and disapproved by the majority of the members who voted in this poll. Moderator selection is, and always has been, a completely internal event and occurs in the hidden staff forums.

Hmm, well, that thread doesn't accurately reflect my stance in my previous post here, but I concur the reasoning in it is valid enough to deny a voting process for as far as it is explained in there.

What I find funny, though, is how it is said democracy was turned down while it is democracy that somehow did it

Internal selection it is; although I can't see anyone rejecting any private suggestions that you may offer to Tosa.

Thankfully, the ETW forum here has been pretty much civilised since inception, so there's been no need for the banstick...yet
