Default How to move a crusade?

Finally got round to playing M2TW. So first question: how does an English crusade get from Northern France to Tunis without losing men to desertion? I don't have the fleet power to do it by sea but if i try walking through spain to the landbridge at Gibraltar i lose half my army.

You shouldn't lose any men if you march straight there at the maximum speed possible. Make sure that all the units and agents in your army are part of the crusade or they will slow you down so much that everyone else will desert.

March to Marseille or Genoa and hire a few merc boats to get you to Tunis.

Agents should travel separately or they'll slow you down.
