    After feedback, I have been persuaded to re-open this thread for submissions.

    Please make sure that you read the forum rules before posting.

    Be aware that you are responsible for whatever you post.

    Whilst the nature of political cartoons means that some people may be miffed or annoyed, there is no place for deliberately offensive material. If in doubt, don't post (or seek advice from a moderator via PM).

    Please ensure that you host pictures yourself. Any hotlinked cartoons will be deleted. Because of this, it would also be a good idea to provide credit to the artist/publication.

    Not sure if this qualifies as a political cartoon, but its a parody of the Bush admin. and Star Wars. I'm sorry George Lucas; I couldn't resist.

    This one is of course from the last bit of the seizing of that RN boat.


    This one is from a few years ago and was made in reference to the Israeli/Palestinian fighting but I feel it still very relevant today and of course for more than that conflict.


    This one is of course when the Bush adminstration finally decided to change a bit of what they were doing. I think this is from early '06, not sure though.


    And then these two aren't cartoons but I post them anyhow because I think they make a point in the same manner political cartoons do. It's just pointing out the different covers of Newsweek and Time magazine when marketing within the US or abroad.

    You would think Newsweek would capitalize on that topic since they're mainly pro-Democrat.
    I can understand that Time would change it b/c they're pro-Republican but why did Newsweek change their covers?

    On s'en fout - we don't care, or better, since it's not very polite: we don't give a damn
    Putes - whores
    Mafia - mafia
    Vodka - vodka
    Alcoolos - binge drinkers. Boozers I think is the English term
    Faineants - sluggard, or rather: lazy ****s
    Poilues - shaggy, as in rough-haired persons
    Teubé - (verlan, reversed 'bête', for all you confused French speakers) nuts
    Toxicos - derogatory term for people under the influence of drugs
    Fachos - fascists, but it's ruder than proper 'fascist'
    Lents - sluggards?, but more in the sense of slow of understanding than lazy
    Voleurs - thieves
    PD - 'pédérastes', gays
    Accordeonistes - accordeonists
    Maison - home

    It, er...naturally the object of the cartoon is ridiculisation of the narrow-mindedness of the French, and not any perceived character traits of foreigners.
