    Default Names

Hey guys, most of you enjoy helping people, and so I figured I'd come to you with a way you can help me.

I'm trying to come up with a game, and with that game I need names. Names that are unusual, but not ridiculous.

    Example of Ridiculous: Deathcrusher Megasmash

I'm looking for names for story characters in a futuristic society.

Zain Anduin (Doesn't really exist) is a good example, but so is Ian Lawrence (Does exist).

So here's where you guys come in, post as many name as you can think of that fits the description. I've tried random name generators, but they generally just take names from the census's, and don't have the right style that I'm looking for.

So if you come up with something creative and unique, post it here if you'd like to help a brother out.

    Thanks.

    Here is the updated list:

Vuk Brankovic is probably the kewlest name out there. :) (But use it with respect )

    lol
    How's:
Garad Hearthelburne (that is a real name. A little puzzle for those who consider themselves history geeks. It will take some researching )
Hammer, anvil, forge and fire, chase away The Hoofed Liar. Roof and doorway, block and beam, chase The Trickster from our dreams.

If you have any female characters then Petra and some Ukranian surname would be a good bet. In fact just name all your characters after russian people, they always sound futuristic.
How about Andrue Vayeur or Vistnik Movorix.

The spoiler below should only be read by Zain.

P.S. Zain, are you going to use these names for your RPG game I've heard you're going to start I hope really soon???

Yes, it's similar to The Castle but based in a mansion with multiple levels and a courtyard in the center. I believe that's the way it is, I haven't made the map yet but I've drawn it out on paper.

I plan on making this one absolutely HUGE, totally based on either completing the "quest" or being the last man standing. I'm not sure which just yet, if either.

I'm going to post a game concept and see if people can come up with better ideas than the ones i've come up with myself.

I've always liked the name Petra. And names with lots of V's have never been my love. I've always liked A's, N's, I's, etc... like in Zain. Keep them coming though! I love this stuff.

Waldinger is an awsome last name(or first name or nickname). You could also try Colton.

RoadKill - coolest name ever. But maybe you could use this name for some brute rebel, that would be awsome adn would fit in well.

Otherwise a futuristic male name would be - Zech Holoski
Female - Flora Alexandros (Don't use that one, cause I'm using it)

Skyle Logan sounds like he should exist in a futurey weirdo railing against the rules kind of way.
Ainur Soretudae would fit something I'm sure... he already may have.
How about Jimmy O'Bondy? A New York (allegedly of Irish descent) secret agent who specialises in man to man slayings using nothing but potatoes in various guises?

Hell, I thought this was going to be easy. But I see your predicament now, it's not as easy as it seemed at first glance. Unless you like Eastern European or very English names (which have both been done to death), it's hard to find a name with class that emotes anything.

A good idea might be to list some 50 common syllables in existing sci-fi names, then randomly pick a random number of these and put them together. Every fifth name or so you come up with this way may even be acceptable...

How about instead of using Lee as a last name; use Le as a variant of it.
the only reason I'm promoting Le is b/c its my last name
And instead of Nicholas, use Nicolae. Some movies that feature the anti-christ usually name him Nicolae.
You sure have a lot heart suffixes for last names? which is no problem.
