Fought and won - just.
That has to be the most intense battle I have ever fought yet in MTW2. I only had about 30 seconds left when I won, and lost 70% of my army.
Extra orders will be sent to you, TinCow.

Taking the save to fight Elberhard's battles - Mini Econ's will have to wait until this afternoon, as he's helping out with a School Open Day.
EDIT: Elberhard's battles fought, the new save is:

Attention: I have not received ANY orders from the following people:
Péter von Kastilien (gibsonsg91921)received
Fritz von Kastilien (Tamur)
Lorenz Zirn (Roadkill) - Austria thread posts are not detailed enough for me to be able to pull an order from them.
Athalwolf von Salza (Warluster)
If I do not receive orders from them within the next few hours, all three will use the default (*) option.
Also:
Fredericus Erlach (Stuperman) - I have not received any orders via PM. I will use the statements in the Bavaria thread as orders. Please submit orders via PM in the future.

It seems I have also hit a snag on the game editing. I can't get Friedrich Karolinger out of Budapest while it is under siege. move_character won't work and telporting the besieging army away doesn't actually lift the siege. I promised that no one would die and the orders for Friedrich Karolinger were to get him away from the city. As a result, I am going to have to butcher the save a bit. I will move the second (uber) Hungarian stack away from the city, spawn a new HRE stack and defeat the Hungarian stack next to Budapest. This will lift the siege, at which point I will remove Friedrich Karolinger and disband the spawned HRE army. I will then replace the defeated Hungarian army. However, the city will no longer be under siege and I do not know whether the AI will behave properly and besiege it again next turn. So, please be aware that Budapest will be "under siege" for IC and Rules purposes if I say it is, even if the AI has not besieged it.
You should be able to move characters out of settlements (I know for certain that it works).
However, they will then be invisible unless animating.
This can be fixed by moving the invisible character (use "go to") into a settlement and end turn, which leads to it becoming visible again next turn when moved out of the settlement.

Mini Econ is taking the save.
I cannot teleport Karolinger out of besieged Budapest. The invisible army shows up, but it also keep Karolinger in Budapest. I moved the invisible army into Vienna and ended turn. The next year, the invisible army was gone and Karolinger was still in Budapest. If you think you can, please do so and then upload the new save.

Hmm you are right. It doesn't seem to work for settlements that are under siege, only free ones.
I think in that case we'll have to go by your plan, although I would suggest that after butchering the Hungarian army, you could move Karolinger out and disband the Budapest garrison so the Hungarians can take the city right away.

Mini Econ took Damascus, sacked it for 19837 florins and then gifted it to the English.

Taking the save. I expect there to be at least 1 battle during the AI's turn.

Hey Tincow, I've got question. How much easier would this be for you if you didn't need to coordinate the enemy AI, and were just refereeing our actions?
There is one battle to be fought during the AI's turn. I have autoresolved it and moved ahead to check, there will be no more battles during the AI's turn.

Sunday is fine. I recruited everything for you as requested. I moved you until you were adjacent to the Venetian army, since that was in the middle of the mountain pass. I haven't gone into the battle to check, but I think you should be able to find a very good defensive spot, since it's a mountain map.Originally Posted by AussieGiant
Concerning the Battle of Bern map. Is everything in that center rectangle the town square? It seems rather... large (as well as rectangular) if so. Or do the roads branch off and flank it from two sides?

Yes, it is supposed to all be the town square. Unlike the walls, I drew the roads and town square in by hand, so they won't be a 100% accurate. However, I think it is approximately right as most of the roads lead to the square and you can line most roads up with the walls. I think town squares are pretty big - they can comfortably hold whole armies - and that huge city one seemed particularly grand.Originally Posted by GeneralHankerchief

Hey GH, I sent you a reply to your last PM. But it didn't show up in my message tracker. So, I sent another but that didn't show either. So if you didn't get my reply, please let me know so I can resend it. ^_^
I don't know whether it's a problem with the .org or because of a setting you enabled.
