Thread: unhorsed knights

    Default unhorsed knights

    Is there a way to be able to recuit the "unhorsed knights" mercenary unit? I dont even care if they all look like mercenaries I just want to use them. Everytime I try to put them as recruitable in the descr_building file they dont appear in the game even though the game is fine with it (as far as I know).

    Any help with this is welcome.

    I just remembered I should have put France under the units ownership in the descr_unit file. I'll try this but if it doesnt work, help is still needed.

    Units don't usually show up as trainable right away when you edit the building file. Takes a few turns for that to happen in addition to you needing to contruct that building somewhere else first (to trigger it being recruitable for all buildings of that type).

    If that still doesn't work, it might be related to the issue I am having with making mercs retrainable but not hirable.

    Last resort for your method would be to have a pool of unhorsed knights everywhere but only let france hire them in the descr_mercenaries.txt
